Our Education Programme
Set in a 900 acre estate of farmland and woodland, Godinton House and Gardens provides the chance to discover, explore and learn in an inspiring and safe environment.
We offer a broad range of learning activities for schools and other community groups all year round, with opportunities to explore the house, gardens and wider estate. These include one-off whole day visits and Enrichment Programmes, which are regular blocks of sessions for smaller groups. As part of our charitable aims, we are able to offer fully subsidised visits to local groups, including transport costs, in most cases.
Enquiries
Our Education Programme has been running in its current format for three wonderful years, and we are in a fortunate position to be able to look back on what’s working well and plan the next exciting steps for our programme!
To create a deeper, longer-lasting impact for local children, we are shifting our focus toward running more regular Enrichment Programmes throughout the year while offering fewer one-day class visits. Our Enrichment Programmes enable the same, small group of children to visit on a regular basis and are themed around topics such as Planting, Art, Conservation and History.
Because demand for our programme has grown so rapidly, our class visit slots for the 2026–2027 academic year are now completely full, and we are no longer able to accept new bookings for these visits.
Moving forward, our Enrichment Programmes will run in six-week blocks for smaller groups of 14 children. This focused setting gives students the space to build confidence, gain new skills, and enjoy unique experiences outside the classroom. Best of all, these programmes are fully subsidised—including transport costs. To ensure every local school has an equal opportunity to participate, we will be introducing a simple application form. We are currently finalizing all the dates and details and look forward to sharing more information with you very soon!
